All CEPT licence holders are allowed to operate amateur radio station  in accordance with CEPT recommendation TR61-01 for a maximum period of 3 months using home call signs with TA prefix and call area number. (For example: TA4/DL4MBN) They can show their own licence at customs, with no need to prepare any paperwork for their transmitters and equipments. There is 3 letter related with this situation. One of them is a circular of Undersecretariat of Customs dated 15.03.2002, second is a letter of Telecommunications Authority, last one is a letter of Undersecretariat of Customs. Please carry these 3 letters with you visiting Turkey. 

     Visitors to stay longer than 3 months have to apply for operating licence to the following address with 2 passport size photographs, photocopy of original licence, photocopy of passport's related pages for ID and filled application form for Temporary Amateur Radio Licence.

     Licences will be issued with a temporary TA call sign with letter "Z" in the suffix. (For example: TA2ZM) Application forms can be obtained from TK or TRAC.
